A simple step-by-step so you know what to expect
After your initial inquiry, we'll start the conversation by discussing your ideas and goals. If everything's a go, I'll put together a project proposal detailing our scope of work, pricing and payment schedule. If everything prepared is approved, you'll accept the estimate, sign the PCS terms of design + kindly complete the invoice for your deposit.
I'll send over my questionnaire to help us dig deep into your vision, goals and aesthetic, as well as collaborate on an inspiration Pinterest board. Using the strategic information I've gathered thus far, I’ll create a mood board to inspire us and set the visual direction of our project together. Having a clear vision will help me design something beautiful and effective
Once we have our visual direction in place, the design process officially begins! Whether it’s branding, web design, or a custom package, I will head to the drawing board and begin developing creative concepts. I'll send you mock-ups of the design, and we’ll collaboratively work back and forth to revise the concepts through rounds of refinement.
Once your approval is received and the final payment is made, I will package up your files and send them over via a Dropbox link for you to download. If we have collaborated on a Squarespace site, I will install your new design live to the web! I'll send over any tips and tricks that you might find helpful in order to make the most of your new site!
Some of the most frequently asked questions
+ What platform do you work with?
I work exclusively with Squarespace, which is one of the fastest growing platforms out there!
+ What are the benefits of squarespace?
The Squarespace platform is perfect for websites, blogs, portfolios and online shops. It is affordable and offers advanced features. Squarespace is completely mobile responsive – your website will look great across all mobile devices. It truly is an all in one platform; included in all plans is the cost of hosting, which many other platforms (Wordpress) do not include. What makes Squarespace most appealing is that it is easy to update and maintain without the help of a designer.
+ How long will my project take to complete?
Your unique identity is what makes you stand out and the main reason why turnaround times vary per client. On average, most design projects take 3 to 8 weeks once we begin the process. It's important to keep in mind that the design process is dependent on many variables (revisions, correspondence, complexity of the design, etc.)
+ Do you have office hours?
I do! In an effort to respect my clients time as well as my family's time, I have established office hours. I schedule phone calls Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm CST, and Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm CST. I typically respond to any after hour emails the following business day.
+ What are your payment policies + methods accepted?
I graciously accept payments through Stripe. All invoices are sent via email and can be paid online. Please keep in mind that all deposits are nonrefundable as it is my way of securing your spot in my design queue. The PCS payment structure looks like this: 50% due at booking and 50% due upon 30 days after the start of the project. (please note: payment must clear before any final files or installs are delivered).
+ Any other expenses that I should know about?
When working with Peyton Campbell Studio, your costs will look like this: PCS package price + your Squarespace plan + domain name (roughly $10-$20 annually).
+ I purchased a domain (.com), can I keep it?
Yes - I'll even set it up for you! Or you can purchase a domain directly through Squarespace.
+ What should I do to prepare for our project?
One thing that would be most helpful would be to prep your content and have it ready! This means any copy, information, and images you may want to include in your designs. This will help move the process along!
+ Can you write our copy?
Unfortunately, I don't provide copywriting, but will happily recommend someone to you!
